Liechtenstein

Last night I stayed in the tiny country of Liechtenstein. I stayed in the country's hostel, and I was the only guest. It was weirdly quiet.

It's a lovely little country though. Although there's not a lot going on, it's very pretty.

I got into the country by walking over from the Swiss town of Buchs where the RailJet train stops. Here's the bridge across...

Switzerland is on the left, Liechtenstein is on the right. This is the Rhine river.

This is what I saw from my window in the hostel.

The prince lives in this castle Which overlooks the capital Vaduz.

This is the country's 25 seat parliament.

There's even a fairly big college in this tiny country, right next to the hostel I was staying in.

I'm writing this on the TGV to Basel where I'm staying one night before moving on to Interlaken.
